Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team providing home medical equipment setup, including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units. You will educate patients on proper equipment use and ensure safe operation in home settings.

The role requires managing patient records, staying current with respiratory care techniques, and being available for after-hours and weekend on-call shifts as needed, with mileage reimbursements for visits.

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Subject to state law/regulation, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may also be qualified for this position.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend on-call shifts as needed.
