Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our team and oversee setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units. You will educate patients on proper usage and ensure safe operation at home.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, safety testing, prescription review, and maintaining patient records in line with accreditation standards. On-call duties after hours and weekends may apply, depending on center size.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid license or certification as required by state/national board
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided
• Must maintain valid driver license and auto insurance in state of residence
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and efficient functioning
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment administration
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency determined by center size and staff)
