Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to be one of the first people customers meet, helping them select products and turn ideas into reality. You’ll become the product expert, explaining specifications, promotions, and financing options to close a sale inside the store or garden center.

You’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more, with active customer interaction and collaboration with vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's will fund).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and highlighting Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors; provide project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and follow-up.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors to replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
