Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and help find products to complete home improvement projects. You’ll become a product expert, explaining specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You'll work in a department aligned with hiring needs such as Appliances, Flooring, or Windows & Walls, engaging customers and delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with stated goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance as needed.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up on project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on outside accounts and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors to restock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist where needed.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach for development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
