Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers, assess project needs, and guide them to suitable home improvement solutions.

You will be the product expert, explaining specifications, features, and financing options to close sales while delivering excellent service in a busy retail environment. You will work in one of several departments, depending on needs and your skills, including Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience, or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and explaining Lowe's products and services.
• Act as the dept. point of contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates, installations, orders, and follow-ups.
• In the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors/stores to restock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews per pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and department communications.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach for development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
