Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to be among the first associates customers meet in-store. You will help customers identify products, explain features, and guide them from project idea to realization. You’ll work in one of several departments and be involved in answering questions, estimating projects, and closing sales.

The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and collaboration with teams to meet sales goals, warranties, and financing options. Part-time options are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience, or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Able to lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating Lowe's product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process and track orders, and follow up to ensure completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors and other stores for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/docs per policies.
• Support checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
