Job summary

Lowe's Sales Specialist role focuses on helping customers find home improvement solutions and turning ideas into reality. You’ll act as a product expert, communicating specifications, promotions, financing options, and delivering consultative service to close sales.

The position spans active store duties across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and accurate order execution.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales / 18 months Lowe’s if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with targets or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand/sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance if needed.
• Obtain sales licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe's supports this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as department contact for customers and vendors, providing estimates and tracking orders/installations.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing docs.
• Support checkout functions and in-store assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
