Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist in the United States to greet customers, understand needs, and guide home improvement purchases. You will become the product expert, discuss features, financing options, and promotions to close sales.

The role spans multiple departments, with a focus on delivering exemplary service and achieving sales goals. Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing orders, stocking inventory, training junior staff, and maintaining pricing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, providing estimates, scheduling visits, processing orders, and following up to ensure completion.
• In the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing docs.
• Support all checkout functions and assist customers as needed.
• Train associates in the department and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
