Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers, understand project needs, and guide them from concept to completion in a fast-paced store environment. You will become a product expert, sharing specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You’ll work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more. The role emphasizes active customer interaction, problem solving, and collaboration with store teams to meet goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic; stand/sit for prolonged periods; lift 25 lbs; obtain sales-related licensure if required by state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and highlighting Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors; prepare estimates and schedule installations.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors/store to order stock.
• Assist with pricing reviews and pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist colleagues across departments.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coaching for development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
