Job summary

Lowe's in Texas is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be one of the first people customers meet. You will use your sales expertise to help customers find products and turn great project ideas into reality, while delivering friendly, practical guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience; or 3 years external customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met.
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or 25+ lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state; Lowe's will support this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; manage estimates, installations, orders, and follow-ups.
• In Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels; work with vendors and stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist customers as needed.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
