Job summary

Lowe’s seeks a Sales Specialist to greet customers, assess project needs, and guide them to the right products in a fast-paced home improvement store. You’ll become the product expert, explaining specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law (Lowe’s will support and fund this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and follow up for project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
