Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, assess project needs, and guide them to products and services that meet their goals. You will become a product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

The role covers various departments depending on hiring needs, with emphasis on friendly, knowledgeable support and proactive problem solving to help customers complete home improvement projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand needs and communicate Lowe's advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, installer visits, orders, installations, and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and department communications.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
