Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist in the United States to greet customers, discuss project needs, and close sales. You will become a product expert, explain features, promotions, and financing options, and provide exceptional consulting to meet customer needs in a fast-paced retail environment.

Work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, with opportunities for professional growth and a 10% associate discount. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external and 18 months Lowe’s if education unmet).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with targets/goals.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and explaining Lowe’s products and services.
• Be a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule visits, process orders, and follow up for project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout and service requests.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coaching needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
