Job summary

Lowe’s in Dallas is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, discuss project needs, and guide them to the right home improvement solutions. You’ll become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales while assisting multiple departments and delivering exceptional service.

In a fast-paced store environment, you’ll drive customer satisfaction, support inventory and pricing accuracy, and help meet sales goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (Or 3 years external in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs, answering questions, and highlighting Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders/installations, and following up to ensure project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, coordinate with vendors and stores to find merchandise and replace stock.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance.
• Train department associates on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
