Job summary

Lowe's in Danbury, CT is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be among the first people customers meet, using sales expertise to help find products and turn ideas into reality. You will become the product expert, explaining specs, promotions, and financing to close sales, with the chance to work across Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6–12 months Lowe's retail experience; or 3 years external sales with education unmet.
• 1 year in sales or customer service with goals/metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating the advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Act as a department contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates, scheduling, orders, and follow-ups.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order replacement stock
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and ensure maintenance of pricing and documentation
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance
• Train associates in the department by conducting on-the-job training on the Sales floor and coaching around development needs
• Complete other duties as assigned
