Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist at one of our stores in Columbus, OH. You will meet customers, understand project needs, and guide them to the right products while promoting services and promotions.

You will become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales. This role emphasizes friendly, solution-focused customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors in your department, handling estimates, installer visits, orders, and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support checkout functions and respond to requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
