Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, part of Aberdeen Assured Home Health, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and provide patient education per the plan of care. The PTA will support home-based therapy across the service area, collaborating with supervising PTs and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Washington-licensed PTAs with CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in state of Washington.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proven ability to function in any home situation regardless of patient background.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care as directed by the supervising PT.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, and safety.
• Observe and report patient response to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within scope of PTA.
• Visit patients within the service area.
