Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and patient education within a home health setting under the plan of care established by the supervising PT. Ideal candidates will hold current PTA licensure, a valid driver's license, be able to work weekends, and have CPR certification or the ability

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to dependable transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home health PT; act under supervising PT plans.
• Instruct and assist patients in active/passive exercise, gait, ADLs and mobility
• Document patient responses and coordinate care with the health team
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within scope of PTA
• Function in diverse home environments and maintain safety during visits
