Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Patient Care and LHC Group, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home health patients with treatments and exercise instruction per the plan of care. You will work under a supervising PT to improve patient well-being in a home setting and collaborate with families and care teams.

Responsibilities include following state laws, guiding patients in exercises, monitoring responses, and educating families.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice physical therapy as a PTA in the relevant state.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the plan of care set by the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, and functional training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to the supervising PT and care team.
• Instruct patient, family, and caregivers in therapy within scope of PTA.
• Provide care in home settings regardless of age, race, or background.
