Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled services in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment plans to improve mobility and safety, while coordinating with patients, caregivers, and the care team.

Requirements include an active PTA license in the state, CAPTE-approved education, CPR certification, and 1+ years of home health experience. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA educational program per CAPTE.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of PTA home health experience or mentor-supported entry.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Record patient responses and document changes in medical records.
• Promote wellness, prevention, and discharge planning with caregivers.
• Attend care conferences and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate follow-up care.
