Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled services in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement individual treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance and independence while promoting safety at home.

Required qualifications include a state PTA license, CAPTE-accredited education, CPR certification and one year of related home health experience, with mentoring options if needed.

Qualificações

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA educational program.
• One year of PTA experience in home health preferred.
• If less than one year, regional clinical leaders' approval and mentoring may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Observes and documents patient response to treatment and changes in condition.
• Promotes wellness, prevention and discharge planning.
• Documents supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Monitors patient progress and outcomes of PT interventions.
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care.
