Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home skilled care under a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help improve mobility, balance, and independence while supporting safe, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with the care team, and promoting wellness, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive home-health environment.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of related PTA experience in home health care, or approval/mentoring for less than one year.
• CPR certification is current.

Responsabilités

• Provides PTA services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment.
• Promotes wellness and prevention planning.
• Documents supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Monitors patient progress and outcomes.
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Makes follow-up care recommendations in coordination with the admitting agency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
