Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality home-based care in Kingwood, Texas. You’ll work under a licensed PTA and focus on helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence in their own homes.

You will guide patients through personalized exercise programs, monitor progress, document in the EMR, and collaborate with the PT team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care in a flexible field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate PTA program completed.
• Current PTA license or state certification.
• CPR certification.
• 1+ year home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
