Job summary

VitalCaring, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality home health services in patients' residences. This role emphasizes one-on-one patient care, mobility improvement, and independence restoration in a home setting.

You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, follow plans of care, and educate patients and families while documenting progress. Opportunity for growth within a patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
