Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant for the Norfolk and Virginia Beach territory. The PTA will provide therapy services under supervision, document progress, and coordinate with the care team to support patients at home.

Candidates should have an active PTA license, CAPTE-accredited program graduate, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of PTA experience, ideally in home health. Flexible schedule and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduated from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• At least 1 year PTA experience in home health or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT and within the approved plan of care.
• Monitors and documents patient response and changes in condition.
• Coordinates care and referrals with agency staff and community resources.
• Maintains patient records and ensures confidentiality.
• Participates in team conferences and quality improvement activities.
