Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist to support patients in Chesapeake, VA, delivering skilled PT services in the home setting. You will assess, restore, and optimize movement and function, conduct reexaminations every 30 days, and plan discharge when appropriate.

Orientation includes hourly pay and a path toward independent case management. Qualifications include a state PT license, CAPTE-accredited program, CPR certification, and at least one year of home health

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of home health PT experience preferred; mentoring allowed if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Perform reexaminations at least every 30 days and modify interventions as needed.
• Complete discharge planning and perform other duties as assigned.
