Job summary
AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant for full-time day shifts to support in-home patient care across Rhode Island. You will deliver PT services under a supervising PT, monitor patient responses, and participate in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
The role requires a CAPTE-accredited PTA program graduate with an active PTA license and CPR certification, plus at least one year of home health experience or regional leadership approval for less
Qualifications
- Must hold a current PTA license for the assigned state.
- Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
- Minimum one year PTA experience in home health; mentoring may be required for less than one year.
Responsibilities
- Provides physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed PT and per approved plan of care.
- Observes and reports patient response to treatment and changes in condition to supervising PT and clinical staff.
- Promotes wellness and prevention and provides resources for future needs.
- Documents supervisory activities in the patient's medical record.
- Monitors patient response to PT intervention and participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
- Makes follow-up care recommendations in coordination with the admitting agency and other care providers.
