Job summary

DFW Home Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team serving Fort Worth and Azle area. Eligible for a $2,500 bonus for full-time staff and relocation bonus is available, with a comprehensive benefits package.

As a PTA, you will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with supervising Physical Therapists to improve patient well-being in home care settings.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home PT; perform only supervised procedures and suggest changes to the plan of care.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses; coordinates care with the PT, nurse, and physician.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members on therapy within PT scope.
• Provide care in diverse home settings with respect to all individuals.
