Job summary

DFW Home Health in Dallas, TX is hiring a full-time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team serving the Rockwall area. Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and reliable vehicle or access to transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home health PT assistance and implement the plan of care as directed by the supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait training, functional activities, ADL, transfers, and safety.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and care team; coordinate with health care team.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members on therapy within PTA scope.
• Function effectively in diverse home environments and populations.
