Job summary

Assured Home Health, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatments and education under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will assist patients in exercise, mobility, and activities of daily living within home health settings, adhering to a plan of care and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of Washington.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Following all state laws governing physical therapy in home care; follow treatment plan set by supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer and safety.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes to supervising PT and care team.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and health care team in therapy within PT scope.
• Function in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
