Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Retail Home Consultant to create a world-class home buying experience by helping customers identify floor plans, options, and coordinate construction. The role emphasizes relationship-driven sales, strong communication, and team collaboration.

The position offers a $50k base salary plus commission, with unlimited earning potential, and requires the ability to obtain manufactured home sales licensing and to work Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of relationship-driven B2C sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Protect Clayton branding and assets by maintaining a high level of integrity throughout the sales process.
• Develop expertise in finance/mortgage concepts, product knowledge, sales acumen and local market.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via CRM.
• Assist manager with inventory, decor of models and appearance of homes.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic.
• Present potential buyers display homes and demonstrate features and benefits.
• Set home center visits by converting ad calls and web leads to appointments.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities and company-sponsored functions.
• Be cooperative and collaborative, willing to work in a team environment.
