Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Home Consultant to guide customers through floor plan selection, options, and coordinate the construction process, delivering a world-class home buying experience at our home center.

This role rewards relationship-driven sales, strong communication, and teamwork. You’ll build client files, set appointments, demonstrate displays, and grow knowledge in finance concepts while representing Clayton with integrity.

Qualifications

• Six months of B2C sales experience preferred.
• Understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements for manufactured home sales.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork.
• Highly organized and able to manage time well.
• Willing to work Saturdays.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to walk lots and show homes in all seasons.
• Able to move and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Clayton branding and integrity throughout the sales process.
• Develop expertise in mortgage concepts, product, sales acumen and local market.
• Keep customer files and follow up with prospective buyers via the CRM.
• Assist manager with inventory, decorate models and maintain home appearances.
• Develop, refine and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase center traffic.
• Present potential buyers display homes and demonstrate features and benefits to create value.
• Set home center visits utilizing prospect database and web leads.
• Participate in sales meetings, training opportunities and company events.
• Team oriented—cooperative and collaborative, willing to work in a team environment.
