Clayton is seeking a Home Consultant to guide customers through floor plan selection, options, and coordinating construction to deliver a world-class home buying experience.

The role emphasizes relationship-driven sales, learning, CRM use, and presenting model homes. You will set appointments, follow up with prospects, and work in a collaborative team while meeting Saturdays. Joining Clayton means competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven business-to-consumer sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Identify a floor plan and options with customers.
• Coordinate the construction process for home buyers.
• Set home center visits and convert ads/leads to appointments using the CRM.
• Present model homes and demonstrate features and benefits.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up.
• Assist manager with inventory and decorating models.
• Participate in sales meetings, training opportunities and functions.
• Collaborate within a team and handle miscellaneous duties as required.
