Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Home Consultant to guide customers through floor plans, options, and the home buying journey. You will create a world-class experience by connecting with prospects, presenting features, and coordinating the construction process.

This full-time role emphasizes relationship-based sales, strong communication, teamwork, and reliability, including Saturdays. The position offers a $50k base salary plus commission and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship driven business to consumer sales preferred
• General understanding of the retail environment
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Help customers identify floor plans and options.
• Coordinate the construction process to realize chosen plans.
• Set home center visits and appointments from leads and ad calls.
• Demonstrate features and benefits of display homes to create added value.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via CRM.
• Participate in sales meetings, training opportunities, and company-sponsored functions.
