Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. is seeking occupational therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in California.

The role offers flexible scheduling and locations of your choice, plus a sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursement. You will assess developmental needs, develop IFSP-driven goals with families, coach caregivers, and deliver services in the child’s natural environment, including homes and community settings.

Qualifications

• Requires California Occupational Therapy license.
• Pediatric Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
