Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Occupational Therapists to provide home-based early intervention services for infants and toddlers in California.

You will assess development and support families using the Parent Coaching Model, within IFSP guidelines, in clients' homes and community settings. Qualifications

• California OT license is required.
• Pediatric experience required; Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide occupational therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (HIPAA/state/federal regulations).
