IT Accel, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to keep platforms stable during peak holiday traffic.

You will own SRE practices for the season and lead incident response when issues arise—driving resolution and ensuring repetition of problems is prevented. Responsibilities include leading incident response, triage, coordinating the bridge, communicating with IT leadership and stakeholders, and improving monitoring, alerts, and runbooks for rapid recovery.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or production operations with 3+ years in an SRE role.
• Proven track record leading major incidents and incident command.
• Hands-on with public cloud (GCP and/or Azure).
• Strong observability experience with Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana/Prometheus.
• Scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell and IaC (Terraform).
• Familiar with ITSM processes (ServiceNow).

Aufgaben

• Lead incident response during peak season: triage, coordinate the bridge, drive resolution and communicate status.
• Run blameless post-incident reviews and track corrective actions to closure.
• Define and tune SLIs, SLOs, and alert thresholds for key systems.
• Build and maintain runbooks, escalation paths, and on-call procedures.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and dashboards to catch issues early.
• Lead pre-peak readiness: capacity checks, freezes, failover tests, game-day drills.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil and speed recovery.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including some after-hours/weekend coverage.
