Job summary

Associa is hiring a General Manager for its HOA community in Gaithersburg, MD. This onsite role oversees all office, administrative, and maintenance projects, and serves as the liaison among homeowners, Board members, association staff, and vendors.

You will manage budgets and capital improvements while ensuring compliance with rules and regulations. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in community associations, strong financial interpretation skills, and a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of community association experience.
• Willingness to obtain CMCA, AMS, or PCAM (company paid).
• Customer service driven and team oriented.
• Ability to interpret financials and create budgets (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implement Board policy and directives within the management agreement.
• Walk and inspect the community and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Issue violation notices and follow up for corrections.
• Meet homeowners, board members, and vendors.
• Respond to inquiries in-person, by phone, and by email.
• Enter and update data in the database; track documents.
• Create and manage budgets; review financial reports and reserves.
• Submit RFPs, manage bidding and vendor relationships for capital projects.
• Prioritize maintenance requests and coordinate vendors for work onsite.
• Prepare board packages and coordinate monthly/annual meetings.
• Distribute weekly communications to homeowners about maintenance and events.
• Assist homeowners with architectural review forms and Board decisions.
