Sylvania seeks a dedicated club advisor to manage the marketing and communication for a school activity. You will announce the start and end of the activity, prepare digital and print flyers, and keep families informed via Parent Square or Email.

You will also coordinate with the team and custodial staff, attend regular meetings, and handle setup and cleanup of the activity space, ensuring attendance is tracked and communications reach parents promptly.

• Create digital and print flyers for newsletters and postings (PNG/JPEG formats).
• Deliver announcements and updates to parents via Parent Square or Email.
• Attend and lead weekly meetings; be on location before start times.
• Set up and clean up the activity space and manage attendance rosters.
• Coordinate with custodial staff and ensure mid-point and end-of-activity reporting.

• Marketing and communicating the activity:
  • Plan to announce both the start and the end of the activity and provide updates, as relevant.
  • Create digital (PNG/JPEG formats only) and print flyer(s) for the weekly newsletter and posting in designated spots.
  • Announcements (morning audio and for The Den)
• Regular meetings between either 7:00am - 8:00am or 3:00pm - 4:00pm (or later if applicable). Be in location prior to start. If after school, stay with all students until all are picked up.
• Communicate via Parent Square or Email with the parent of the club members regarding schedule, schedule changes and cancellations. Please give as much notice as possible when canceling and be sure this information is communicated to the parents, not just announced in the building.
• Setup and cleanup the area used for the activity.
• • Please request custodial assistance, with sufficient notice, when appropriate. Maintain roster and attendance of students, submit or share at midpoint and end of activity.
• Our yearbook advisor has many specific responsibilities, including establishing and overseeing a production schedule, recruiting and training student staff, leading club meetings, teaching and mentoring students, managing content and design, securing content, planning and coordinating photo shoots, managing the budget, liaising with the publishing company, marketing and selling yearbooks, proofreading and editing, distributing yearbooks, handling parent and student communications, and maintaining all relevant records.

Minimum of 45 Hours

½ Stipend Paid in December, ½ Paid in June
