Job summary

Sylvania seeks a dedicated individual to advise an after-school art club and foster a creative environment for students. You will plan announcements for the activity's start and end, prepare digital and print flyers for the weekly newsletter, and coordinate with designated posting spots to keep families informed.

• Announcements (morning audio and for The Den)
• Maintain roster and attendance of students, submit/share at midpoint and end of activity with the main office.
• Setup and cleanup the area used for the activity.
• Our art club advisor is responsible for providing a creative and supportive environment for students to explore various art forms, organizing activities and projects using different media, managing art supplies and club logistics, and encouraging students to develop their artistic skills and express themselves.

• Regular meetings between either 7:00am - 8:00am or 3:00pm - 4:00pm (or later, if applicable). Be in location prior to start. If after school, stay with all students until all are picked up.


• Communicate via Parent Square or Email with the parent of the club members regarding schedule, schedule changes and cancellations. Please give as much notice as possible when canceling and be sure this information is communicated to the parents, not just announced in the building.


• Setup and cleanup the area used for the activity.
