Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team at our Costa Mesa HQ to advance HITL capabilities. You will work at the intersection of simulation, hardware integration, and system-level testing to enable reliable testing on physical systems.

You’ll develop software infrastructure, logging, diagnostics, and fault-injection tools while collaborating across software, systems, and hardware engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering, or similar.
• Ability to take ownership of software infrastructure from development through deployment, testing, and maintenance.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management processes, and test tooling such as logging, diagnostics, and debug utilities.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience with Github.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the test framework and software infrastructure bridging SITL to HITL testing.
• Develop logging infrastructure and log-processing tooling for HITL testing.
• Develop diagnostics and telemetry capabilities for visibility and troubleshooting.
• Develop fault-injection capabilities for controlled testing of degraded conditions.
• Build automated tests to evaluate system behavior, fault detection, recovery, and degradation.
• Develop configuration management tracking tools for reproducible HITL configurations.
• Automate HITL health checks, setup, deployment, and test execution to improve repeatability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for regression testing.
• Establish software/testing best practices for HITL systems within the development lifecycle.
• Support stand-up, configuration, and maintenance of HITLs and hardware/software integration.
• Troubleshoot real-time simulation issues during HITL operations including timing and model fidelity.
• Collaborate with software, systems, simulation, and hardware engineers to resolve integration issues.
• Maintain safety mindset in prototype environments.
• Follow procedures and identify safety/quality improvements.
