Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, embed, cut, coverslip, stain and mount tissue specimens for evaluation by the pathologist.
• Perform special staining procedures, including IHC and QC slides.
• Accession specimens for Pathology and Cytology in the computer.
• Maintain equipment, inventory and records; ensure work area is safe.
• Train new employees and interns in histology processes.
• Attend laboratory meetings and in-service education as required.
