Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Log specimen accessions and assign accession numbers.
• Process Cytology specimens and assist Pathologists during grossing; perform basic staining.
• Maintain file of tissue blocks and slides; ensure proper identification.
• Prepare Histology and Cytology specimens with correct patient and specimen IDs.
• Assist in gathering and compiling quality improvement statistics.
• Keep inventory of supplies current.
