Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to deliver technical and applications expertise for Core Histology solutions across the Northeast region. You will train customers, optimize workflows, and collaborate with Sales, Service, and Customer Support to drive adoption and satisfaction.

The role requires up to 75% travel, strong communication skills, and histology product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ year histology lab experience.
• Understanding of histology marketplace or related discipline.
• At least 1 year experience in optimization, operation, functionality and support of core Histology products.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills with ability to train and consult on workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role and manage travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and applications expertise across the customer lifecycle, including instrument evaluations, installations, validations, workflow optimization, and post-sale support for Leica Biosystems Core Histology solutions.
• Partner with Sales, Service, and Commercial teams to support territory growth by demonstrating product value and advancing opportunities.
• Deliver customer training and education programs to improve laboratory proficiency and workflow efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve complex applications-related issues with Technical Service and other teams to ensure timely customer resolution.
• Maintain documentation of customer activities, feedback, and quality-related events, ensuring compliance.
