Job summary

R1 RCM Holdco Inc. is seeking an HIM Supervisor to lead health information management operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient workflows. You will supervise staff, monitor productivity and coordinate with hospital leaders to improve outcomes.

You will analyze operational data for performance improvements, participate in regulatory readiness, and guide budgeting and staffing decisions to support a high‑performing HIM team.

Qualifications

• RHIA or RHIT certification required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in health information management.
• Minimum of one year supervising Medical Records/HIM.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HIM operations, including document imaging, release of information, physician services, recruiting, training, payroll and workflow coordination.
• Monitor productivity, quality and compliance metrics to drive performance.
• Coordinate daily HIM operations with hospital leaders and revenue cycle partners.
• Support regulatory readiness and participate in external reviews and compliance activities.
• Lead training, scheduling, performance management and daily task assignments.
• Manage resources cost‑effectively within budget targets.
