You will gather information from various sources, support providers with record completion, and contribute to regulatory reporting and hospital operations while assisting the HIM team with general office duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HIM coursework or degree preferred.
• Prior HIM department experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with an EMR system (Meditech preferred).
• Ability to review and assess documentation for deficiencies in medical records.
• Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn software applications.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records for accuracy and completeness; assign deficiencies.
• Assist providers with record completion and validate deficiencies are resolved.
• Gather data from diverse sources for regulatory reporting and hospital operations.
• Provide office support within the HIM Department as needed.
