Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory, or related healthcare setting.
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills; ability to learn new software systems such as Epic and OnBase.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Navigate EHR and related applications to support patient care and HIM processes.
• Receive, sort, prepare, and scan documentation into the EHR per HIM procedures.
• Analyze non-interfaced lab reports to ensure patient identifiers and regulatory compliance.
• Enter and validate data in the EHR, including lab orders and results, using templates.
• Ensure PHI security per HIPAA; manage security levels and destruction of PHI.
• Perform quality assurance of scanned documentation to ensure correct patient, encounter, and document type.
• Communicate with care teams and external labs via phone, email, fax, or Epic In-Basket for 필요한 information.
• Escalate issues and investigate data patterns; adapt to evolving tests and regulations.
