Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Healthcare Information Management (HIM) Manager to lead the organization’s medical records accuracy, privacy, and security. You will drive HIPAA compliance, optimize EHR systems, and support clinical and administrative staff in managing health information efficiently.

You will supervise a HIM team, ensure proper coding for billing and reimbursement, and coordinate with billing to enhance revenue cycle management while upholding confidentiality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in health information management or related healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA and health information compliance standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to support audits and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and maintenance of electronic health records and medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
• Ensure compliance with health information regulations, including privacy laws such as HIPAA, and implement confidentiality policies.
• Supervise the HIM team in coding medical records accurately for billing and reimbursement.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient record retrieval, data entry, and documentation updates.
• Monitor adherence to health regulation policies and participate in audits related to health information regulatory compliance.
• Manage records retention schedules, secure storage of sensitive information, and destruction processes.
• Collaborate with billing departments to optimize revenue cycle management through accurate coding and documentation.
• Provide training on EMR/EHR systems and healthcare privacy protection protocols to staff.
