Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in HIM, healthcare administration or business administration (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HIM, healthcare administration or business administration (preferred)
• RHIA, RHIT, CHPS preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee daily HIM department operations.
• Ensure privacy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance of health information systems and medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, compliance, revenue cycle, legal counsel, IT, and other leaders to support goals and patient care.
• Oversee release of information, chart completion, record retention, and EHR functions.

Education
