Job summary

Amrize in the United States is seeking a Paving Operator for our Asphalt division. You will safely operate paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement on highway projects, monitoring mat thickness and compaction.

You will read project plans, coordinate with the paving crew, perform inspections, and uphold safety standards. This role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 years of hands-on experience, and daily travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years operating asphalt paving equipment on highway or large projects.
• Ability to read plans, grades and markings accurately.
• Commitment to safety protocols and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavers, rollers and related paving machinery to produce smooth surfaces.
• Monitor mat thickness, asphalt flow and compaction according to specs.
• Coordinate with crew and discuss plans to maintain production efficiency.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Adhere to highway safety regulations, traffic control plans and job-site procedures.
